Dr. Jim Nelson
Jim is a 1974 graduate of Pine City, MN. He graduated from Hamline University with majors in Biology, Business Administration, and Environmental Studies. He played football, basketball, and track in high school and continued to play football as a quarterback and basketball as a guard in college.
After graduating from Hamline, Jim graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1984 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He began practice in Willmar, MN. in 1984 and has been there since. He enjoys treating all types of patients with athletes being of special interest. Above all, Jim loves to further his knowledge base and skill set through new classes each year in course work and study. His mantra is: KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
He also enjoys time spent with his wife, Laurie, and their time at the cabin in Tofte, MN. His favorite pastime is playing with his dogs. He has five children and six wonderful grandchildren.

Summer Erdmann PT/DPT
Dr. of Physical Therapy
Summer brings almost 20 years of physical therapy experience, spending the entirety of her career in rural central Minnesota treating the whole spectrum of conditions. Her desire is to provide her patients with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to move beyond their limitations. She uses a holistic, evidence-informed approach utilizing various manual therapies, exercise techniques and education.
Summer enjoys the outdoors and spending time on the lake with her husband and daughter. In her spare time you will find her either swimming, biking or running.

Scott Lageson PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Scott’s career started over 30 years ago at a large regional hospital on the Orthopedic/Neurological floor practicing inpatient physical therapy for 10 years. During that time, he treated a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions. Scott then moved to central Minnesota and has spent the past 23 years practicing in outpatient clinic settings. He has been with NCRC for the past 6 1/2 years, part time at first. Scott has been practicing in our clinic on a full time basis now since the fall of 2020.
In his free time Scott enjoys hunting, fishing and watching his children’s sports careers.
Office Manager
Lisa Borning
Lisa has been with us since 2022. In her job she most enjoys helping patients and our team thus keeping the clinic running smoothly. She lives in Litchfield with her husband, Chris. They have three children and two beagles–Stella and Stanley. Lisa’s hobbies include trips to their family cabin in northern Minnesota, watching her children ride their ATV’s on their home track and taking family vacations.
Reception/Front Desk Manager
Kelly Nichols
Kelly has been a part of our team since 2022. She enjoys talking and interacting with all the patients and getting to know them. She lives in Willmar with her husband, AJ. She has a three-legged Yorkshire Terrier dog named Sophia. Kelly loves boating and being out on the lake with her family and friends, reading books, and traveling.
Clinic Assistants
Jan Lambert
Jan has been with us since 2021. Interacting with patients and co-workers is what Jan values most in her job. She lives in Willmar with her husband, Randy. They have one son and daughter-in-law and a husky named Blue. Jan enjoys camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Chandie Kraus
I am from the area and have been married for 18 years and have five children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am involved with local hockey and different events throughout the area. I am excited to be a part of this team!
